Belgium’s Carmeuse Group to invest $55 million in construction of lime factory in Kazakhstan

Belgium’s Carmeuse Group will build a lime factory at the Saryopan mine in Karaganda region.

Founded in 1860, the company is among world’s leading lime producers. The company has 90 factories in the United States, Canada, Italy, France, Slovakia, Hungary, Africa and Asia. The annual turnover of the company makes 1.5 billion Euros, the Ministry of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan said.

The factory is expected to produce 300,000 tons of lime a year. 105 work places will be created at the factory. The investments will make $55 million.
