EBRD to provide EUR 150 mln loan for modernization of railway track in Ukraine

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a EUR 150 million loan for construction of the second track, electrification and modernization of alarm and communication systems in the Dolynska-Mykolaiv-Kolosivka direction.

This has been reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

“The EBRD is providing a EUR 150 million loan for the construction of the second track, electrification and modernization of alarm and communication systems in the Dolynska-Mykolaiv-Kolosivka direction. The total cost of the project is about EUR 300 million,” the report reads.

The project is financed at the expense of attracted loan funds of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the state guarantees in the amount of EUR 150 million.

The implementation of the project will increase the carrying capacity of the Dolynska-Mykolaiv-Kolosivka railway line, which passes through the territory of Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
