A new project supported through the EU-funded Belarus-Ukraine Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation (EaP TC) programme will work to improve the research of water resources in the Dnipro river basin and expand cooperation between the relevant organisations in Ukraine and Belarus.
The joint Ukraine-Belarus project “Transboundary hydro-meteorological and environmental monitoring system of the Dnipro River” will involve qualified specialists to allow the creation of autonomous wireless monitoring stations to enhance the effectiveness of the study of the environmental situation.
The project will also raise public awareness about the Dnipro basin in the two countries, with the aim to shape a responsible attitude to the use of water resources in the region.
