StrategEast and Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in promoting Georgia’s innovation and technology ecosystem across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The Memorandum was signed by Lika Merabishvili, StrategEast Regional Director for Caucasus and Tornike Jobava, Deputy Chairman at GITA.
The partnership will focus on promoting Georgia as a regional technology and innovation hub, advancing regional digital cooperation, and supporting collaboration across startup ecosystems, public institutions, and international technology stakeholders. The cooperation framework also includes joint events, seminars, policy discussions, and initiatives focused on innovation policy, AI development, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem-building.
In addition, the partnership aims to facilitate engagement with global technology companies and international innovation networks to strengthen the region’s digital competitiveness and create new opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
Through this collaboration, StrategEast and GITA will work to support sustainable innovation-driven growth and deepen regional connectivity across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
