FIXIT Gruppe, a German corporation, intends to build a dry construction mixes plant in Pustomyty district of Lviv region, the press service of the Lviv Regional Administration has informed.
Roman Matis, who is in charge of the investment policy department of the Lviv Regional Administration, claimed the construction would begin in June and finish in winter, by the time the weather becomes cold.
“The company is expected to submit all the documents necessary in order for the administration to grant a permit to carry out the construction project. Should any difficulties emerge in the process, we will do our best to assist. The works will kick off in June,” Matis explained.
The official said that the plant would engage in the production of a range of dry building mixes under the Kreisel trademark. Those would include, for example, primers, waterproofing materials, mixes for floors, grout and masonry, glue mixes, plasters, building paints, and other goods.
Matis reminded that one facility owned by FIXIT Gruppe is already engaged in the production of Kreisel goods in Fastiv (Kyiv region). This range of goods is reportedly in high demand predominantly in the western part of Ukraine, which is the rationale for another facility to be built in Lviv region.
Most of the operations at the future plant near Pustomyty are going to be automated, although some 70-80 jobs are expected to be created.
Established in 1996 and headquartered in Baar (Switzerland), FIXIT Gruppe is currently running operations at some 68 facilities across 19 European nations and employing around 2500 workers in total. Part of the Hazlberger Group, the corporation incorporates five building materials brands – FIXIT, GREUTOL, HASIT, KREISEL and RÖFIX. FIXIT Gruppe is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most prominent producers of dry building materials.
