Germany’s VAMs GmbH to invest $27 million in medical clinics for hemodialysis in Uzbekistan

VAMs GmbH (Germany) is implementing an investment project in the field of nephrologic and hemodialysis care for the population of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and VAMs GmbH have signed an agreement on the implementation of this investment project.

The document was signed within the framework of the International Investment Forum in Jizzakh. The volume of investments within the project will be US$27 million.

The project envisages establishment of 20 medical clinics for hemodialysis on the principles of public-private partnership. The project will establish the production of medical products and pharmaceutical products in the field of nephrology.

The project will modernize hemodialysis units in medical institutions and update the medical equipment. The project stipulates construction of a plant for the production of medical instruments for hemodialysis.

It is expected that the first interdistrict hemodialysis center will be opened in Jizzakh in 2019.
