StrategEast held inaugural Donors’ Coordination Meeting in Dushanbe to boost ICT sector

In an event aimed at accelerating the growth of Tajikistan’s ICT industry, StrategEast, in collaboration with USAID’s Future Growth Initiative and the State Business Incubator of Tajikistan, orgnized the first Donors’ Coordination Meeting at the Technohub Dushanbe.

The meeting convened key stakeholders from global financial institutions, development agencies, and local entities with the shared objective of aligning efforts to foster the development of Tajikistan’s ICT sector. By coordinating activities and pooling resources, the aim was to achieve a synergistic effect for the industry’s advancement.
Dilshod Jurazoda, Director of the State Business Incubator of Tajikistan, along with Matt Curtis, Economic Development Officer at USAID Tajikistan, and Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, attended the event as distinguished speakers. They emphasized the significance of collaborative initiatives in driving innovation and economic growth within Tajikistan’s tech landscape.

During the meeting, insights were shared through presentations on planned digitalization activities and ICT sector development initiatives by the State Business Incubator of Tajikistan. Additionally, Masrur Ishanov, Director of Technohub Dushanbe, presented the hub’s initiatives and activities, highlighting its pivotal role in fostering tech entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.

Among the esteemed attendees were representatives from global financial institutions and development agencies, including the Asian Development Bank, EBRD, IFC, the World Bank, CIPE Tajikistan, USAID, GIZ, JICA, Accelerate Prosperity, OSCE, UNDP, Aga Khan Foundation, US Embassy in Tajikistan, and State Business Incubator of Tajikistan.
