StrategEast continues to support Georgia’s digital transformation agenda through active engagement in national policy dialogue. Lika Merabishvili, Regional Director for the Caucasus at StrategEast, participated in the Information and Communication Technology Association of Georgia’s (ICTA) Quarterly Meeting and high-level panel discussion, “Positioning Georgia as a Regional Technology Hub – Policy, Investment, and Innovation,” as a member of the ICTA.
The session convened key public sector and institutional leaders shaping Georgia’s innovation ecosystem, including: Vakhtang Turnava, Member of Parliament of Georgia; Mikheil Khidureli, CEO of Enterprise Georgia; Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency; Giorgi Bunturi, Deputy Director of the State Employment Agency of Georgia.
Participants reviewed IT sector performance trends and the 2025–2026 outlook, alongside ICTA’s strategic priorities focused on accelerating innovation, strengthening the digital workforce, and attracting high-value investment.
The discussion underscored a central message: positioning Georgia as a competitive regional technology hub requires coordinated policy frameworks, investment facilitation mechanisms, workforce upskilling, and sustained cross-sector collaboration.
StrategEast remains committed to contributing analytical expertise and regional perspective to policy processes that advance innovation-led growth across the Caucasus and wider Central Eurasia.
