Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this during a joint press conference with Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen in Vienna.
“Over the past year, the trade turnover between our countries grew by 17%,” Poroshenko said.
In addition, he notes that Austria is the sixth largest investor in Ukraine.
At the same time, Poroshenko states that the Ukrainian-Austrian business forum will be organized in March for the investors to see “the attractiveness of a business climate” in Ukraine.
As reported, Poroshenko is paying a visit to Vienna at the invitation of Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.
During the visit, Poroshenko holds bilateral talks with President Alexander Van der Bellen and newly appointed Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. The parties discuss issues on further deepening of the political dialogue at a high level, trade and economic and investment cooperation between the states, development of the situation in Donbas and strengthening of the EU’s sanctions policy in order to support international efforts to restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
