The Harriman Institute of Columbia University hosted the presentation of the key findings of Westernization Index 2020. The talk was chaired by Justin Burke, Adjunct Professor in International Affairs at Columbia University, Publisher and Executive Director at Eurasianet.
During the presentation StrategEast founder and president Anatoly Motkin has revealed both a static and a dynamic picture of Westernization in the post-Soviet countries outside of Russia based on the findings of the Index, introduced trends in political, economic, legal, cultural, and Westernization of lifestyle. During the brief, Mr Motkin touched upon the role of economic westernization as a precondition for social transformation in post-Soviet countries.
