StrategEast hosts a workshop on careers in tech and AI for women from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine

On September 2, StrategEast held a workshop – “Charting Your Path in Tech & AI: Women’s Workshop for Armenia, Georgia, Moldova & Ukraine,” designed to empower women to pursue careers in the rapidly growing fields of artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
The workshop was co-led by two distinguished professionals. Nataliia Avanesova, Senior AI Solutions Architect at Miratech and former Senior Conversational Architect at Google, shared her inspiring personal journey from a non-technical background in linguistics to a successful career in AI across Ukraine and Canada. She highlighted the challenges and opportunities she faced while moving continents, adapting to global markets, and building expertise in AI. Ms Avanesova also outlined typical career paths in AI, essential skills needed to succeed and answered participant questions.

Alexander Yazepchik, Talent Acquisition Manager at FinDev and former recruiter at EPAM Systems, brought the recruiter’s perspective. He provided practical advice on building a strong personal brand, preparing LinkedIn profiles, and writing effective CVs and motivational letters. Alexander also demonstrated how AI tools can help generate professional summaries and offered guidance on EPAM’s IT assessment tests.

The workshop combined inspiration with actionable tools, helping participants better understand the diverse opportunities in AI and technology, while equipping them with strategies to present themselves confidently and pursue career growth.

This event was part of the AI Policy Dialogue Initiative, launched by StrategEast in collaboration with RECONOMY, an economic development program of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), implemented by HELVETAS in partnership with Help. The initiative aims to strengthen multistakeholder collaboration and foster inclusive AI strategies across Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
