Canada-Ukraine trade up 58% during the first half of 2017

Canada-Ukraine trade was up 58%, to $245 million, during the first half of this year, Prime Minister Groysman said Wednesday after a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Under the new bilateral free trade pact, Canada has abolished 98% of its tariffs and restrictions on products from Ukraine.

Groysman said that Ukraine will increase its free trade coverage from 72% of Canadian goods today to 99% by 2024. The next step, Groysman said, is to expand the FTA to cover services, including IT.
