Danish machinery and equipment manufacturer Danfoss Group to open office in Georgia

Mamuka Bakhtadze, the Prime Minister of Georgia has recently participated in the World Economic Forum in Dalian, China, within the scope of which he hold a meeting with Jorgen M. Clausen, Chairman of the Board of Directors at one of the largest and leading companies in machinery and equipment manufacturing – Danfoss Group.

At the meeting, it was stated that the company is to launch its first office in Georgia in October this year. In addition, the parties had a conversation regarding the attractive business environ in Georgia, as well as the flexible taxes and initiatives for the large transnational companies.

Aside opening the office in Georgia, Danfoss Group is also to engage in the sphere of education, representing one of the major priorities for the Georgian government, and will allocate funds worth of $25,000 for the Technical University of Georgia for developing of modern technologies and launching a brand new Research and Development (R&D) lab. The significance of the decision of the government of Georgia to invest 6% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in education was also accentuated at the meeting.

Jorgen M. Clausen noted that he will travel to Georgia in October to discover the prospects for the further collaboration on site.

Danfoss Group is a Danish company, launched in 1933, which manufactures products and provides services used in cooling food, air conditioning, space heating, controlling electronic motors, gas compressors, variable-frequency drivers and powering mobile machinery. It operates 71 factories worldwide, boasting 28,000 employees across the globe.
