EBRD commits to invest in modernizing Moldova’s infrastructure

Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu met with Angela Sax, head of the office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Moldova. At the meeting, the prime minister was assisted by Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Anatol Usatîi, head of Moldovagaz company Vadim Ceban and Secretary General of the Government Liliana Iaconi, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The sides approached the investment projects in road and energy infrastructure. At the same time, the topic of digitizing public services was also addressed.

The representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development announced that the financial institution intends to continue investments in the modernization of the infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova.

Chicu thanked EBRD for active involvement in Moldova’s development and voiced confidence that the experience gained in previous projects will give a positive impetus to the future ones.
