EBRD ready to support big infrastructure projects in Moldova

Moldova’s Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Octavian Kalmyk met yesterday with the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Moldova (EBRD) Dmitry Gvindadze and his team to discuss the dynamics of implementing current projects and expanding cooperation through the introduction of new partnership programs. The parties discussed the specifics of the implementation of projects financed by the EBRD, especially in the areas of energy efficiency, infrastructure, transport and railways, analyzed proposals to improve monitoring and coordination of ongoing projects.

Kalmyk spoke about the importance of the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in order to successfully complete current projects. He also noted that Moldova is open for new projects aimed at the welfare and development of the country, in any sectors of the national economy.

Dmitry Gvindadze, in turn, confirmed the EBRD’s readiness to support big infrastructure projects in the country and added that several representatives of the Bank will soon visit Moldova to expand cooperation.
