Uzbekistan and the French company Thales Alenia Space discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in implementation of projects on development of space and satellite industry in Uzbekistan.
The delegation of Uzbekistan led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sadyk Safoyev held a meeting with the Vice President of Thales Alenia Space Eric Imbert.
Representatives of Uzbekistan visited Thales Alenia Space production facilities for assembling space satellites.
The parties reached an agreement on joint implementation of projects on integrated space systems, including the launching and management of satellites for various purposes, and also to organize a technological base in the territory of Uzbekistan for the training of local specialists.
