Italian Italmatec and Pedrini intend to enhance their activities in Uzbekistan

On 29 April 2019, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade with the management of Italian companies Italmatec and Pedrini, leaders in the processing of natural stone and the production of building and facing materials.

Both manufacturers, having more than half a century of experience in their field, in view of the rich resource base and favorable economic infrastructure, see a huge potential for developing their business in Uzbekistan.

Despite the high capital intensity, foreign partners have serious intentions to develop their activities in the country, bearing in mind not only the localization of production to saturate the domestic market and the prospect of export to neighboring countries based on both domestic and imported raw materials, but also close professional cooperation training in conjunction with one of the educational institutions of the Republic.

Within the framework of the agreements reached on strengthening further cooperation, the prospect of organizing a visit of the Uzbek delegation to the Arab Republic of Egypt was also touched upon to study the projects already implemented by Italian industrialists to create clusters for the production of building materials.
