On May 8, StrategEast, together with The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC), the US-Kyrgyzstan Business Council (USKGZBC), and the US-Tajikistan Business Council (USTJBC), convened a high-level discussion focused on the future of the Digital Middle Corridor and the growing strategic importance of digital connectivity across Eurasia within AI+Expo 2026.
The session brought together leading representatives from government, business, and the technology sector to discuss how evolving global trade and technology dynamics are reshaping regional digital infrastructure, AI readiness, and strategic technology partnerships.
The discussion explored the emergence of the Digital Middle Corridor as a critical route not only for trade and logistics, but increasingly for data flows, digital services, and innovation ecosystems connecting Europe, Central Asia, and broader Eurasia.
Participants examined opportunities for building a unified and interoperable digital market across the region, emphasizing the importance of trusted infrastructure, AI-enabled connectivity, and international standards that can support long-term regional competitiveness and resilience.
The conversation also addressed national AI strategies and the growing need for coordinated regional approaches to workforce development, digital skills, and AI governance. Speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening AI readiness across Eurasian countries while fostering open, secure, and innovation-driven digital ecosystems.
Particular attention was given to the role of strategic partnerships with the United States and the private sector in supporting resilient digital infrastructure and providing trusted technological alternatives for the region.
