Political Westernization – Maia Sandu, the President of Moldova

Maia Sandu has been awarded a Political Westernization Award for demanding the withdrawal of foreign troops from Transnistria and for taking a course to fight corruption in the country.

 

Economic Westernization –  Ivane Machavariani, Minister of Finance of Georgia, and Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

Ivane Machavariani, Minister of Finance of Georgia, and Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy of Georgia have been awarded the Economic Westernization Award for special tax regime for IT companies and contribution to the IT industry development in Georgia.

 

Legal Westernization – Lawrence Meredith, Director for Neighbourhood East & Institution Building, European Commission

Lawrence Meredith, Director for Neighbourhood East & Institution Building at the European Commission has been awarded a Legal Westernization Award for supporting the creation of a common legislative framework for ICT innovations within the EU4Digital project in the Eastern Partnership countries.

 

Cultural and linguistic Westernization – Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “NC” Kazakh Tourism”

Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “NC” Kazakh Tourism” has been awarded a Cultural and Linguistic Award for launching an extraordinary marketing campaign to promote the country’s tourism abroad.

Kazakh Tourism capitalized on the film Borat which originally presented Kazakhstan in a sarcastic way, and turned the Borat character’s catchphrase into a positive message and the country’s tourism slogan: “Kazakhstan. Very nice!”

 

Westernization of Lifestyle – Keith Krach, United States Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment (2019-2021)

Keith Krach, former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment has been awarded a Lifestyle Westernization Award for the Clean Network Initiative, which is designed to provide citizens of Eurasia with equipment and applications from reliable suppliers. The initiative led by the U.S. State Department is intended to implement internationally accepted digital trust standards across a coalition of trusted partners.

 

Lifetime Achievement – Sir Suma Chakrabarti

Sir Suma Chakrabarti has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award for his long-standing multi-year contribution to the sustainable development of Eurasian Countries.
