On April 3, Gunay Hajili, Country Manager for Azerbaijan at StrategEast, delivered an information session at Azerbaijan Technical University in Baku, bringing together university leadership, faculty, and students from the ICT department.
The session introduced key opportunities under Oracle University and Oracle Academy, focusing on how students and educators can access industry-relevant training and certifications. Participants received a practical walkthrough of the Oracle MyLearn platform, including guidance on accessing learning paths, tracking progress, and preparing for globally recognized certification exams.
A central focus of the discussion was on career-oriented certification pathways, enabling students to pursue associate-level certifications at no cost, as well as professional-level certifications in high-demand fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, DevOps, and cloud technologies. As part of the StrategEast–Oracle partnership, top-performing students may also receive exam vouchers valued at $250 to support their progression toward advanced certifications.
The session also highlighted opportunities for educators through Oracle Academy, including free access to curricula, integration of Oracle technologies into academic programs, and the use of cloud-based labs and tools to support hands-on, practice-oriented learning.
This initiative reflects ongoing efforts by StrategEast to strengthen digital talent development in Azerbaijan by bridging the gap between academic education and industry needs, and equipping students with skills aligned to the demands of the global digital economy.
