StrategEast jointly with Google hosted panel on Digital Transformation for Education

On March 16, 2024, StrategEast and Google hosted a panel discussion on “Digital Transformation for Education” and celebrated the outstanding achievements of students who excelled in the Google Cloud / ML Learner program at Almaty Management University in Kazakhstan.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Google-StrategEast IT HUB program has been a resounding success. This program, designed to train university students in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Google Cloud technologies, and mobile development on Android, has paved the way for a digital revolution in education.

Olga Skorokhodova, Government Affairs & Public Policy Manager, Emerging Markets at Google moderated the talk. Dinara Shcheglova, Vice Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the panel too. The leadership of the most active universities in implementing the project was represented by the honorable Maratbek Gabdullin, Rector at the Kazakh-British Technical University, and Andrey Bogdanchikov, Vice-Rector of the Suleyman Demirel University. StrategEast was presented by the Regional Director for Central Asia and Eastern Europe, Rovshan Rahimov.

The main trends that characterize modern education and the contribution that non-profit organizations make to future education development were discussed. The possibility of further cooperation between the parties involved, namely Google, StrategEast, the Ministry of Education, and universities, exciting prospects, and implementation of projects to achieve goals in promoting education in the field of IT technologies were particularly touched upon.

The interactive session was encouraged by questions from the audience, allowing for an open and dynamic exchange of ideas.
