Ukraine-EU trade turnover is 25% up

The trade turnover between Ukraine and the EU in January-June 2017 increased by 24.9% compared to the same period last year, UNN reports, referring to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. According to it for the first six months of 2017 the exports increased by 26.1%, imports – by 24.0%.

According to the department, from 2001 to 2016 the largest volume of direct foreign investments to Ukraine – $26.6 billion – came from the EU member states. The EU is Ukraine’s main trading partner, the share of trade in goods has reached 39.8% of the total foreign trade for the first six months of 2017.
