Ukraine in talks with Germany over 40 million euros financing for energy modernization

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine began negotiations with representatives of Germany on attracting financing for the energy efficiency programs of Ukraine an additional 40 million euros. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

In particular, the funds will be directed to programs aiming to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the development of energy-saving technologies and resource-saving in construction.

In addition, Germany can finance government initiatives regarding energy reform.

Among other things, at a meeting between the representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the German embassy, they discussed the state of implementation of the existing projects, which are financed by the German government in Ukraine. Their total value now exceeds 16 million euros.

We recall that US President Donald Trump approved the draft budget of the Ministry of Defense for 2019, which provides for an increase in aid to Ukraine to $ 250 million.

‘The levels of assistance to our country in areas of security and defense through the Pentagon increased by $ 50 million compared with the budget for 2018,’ Ukrainian diplomats claimed.

The Embassy stressed that they highly appreciate the increasing support of Ukraine by the key strategic partner against Russian aggression.
