Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region boosts exports to European countries by more than 20%

In 2018, Dnipropetrovsk region boosted the exports of goods to the European countries up to $2.9 billion or by 21% compared with the previous year.

“Over the past four years, the European Union has become a reliable trading partner of Dnipropetrovsk region. The region exports a third of produced goods and services to Europe,” Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko said, the press service of the Administration reports.

In particular, the enterprises of the region increased the supplies of ore, ferrous metals and products from them, petroleum products, and mineral fertilizers to Europe.

The major trading partners of Dnipropetrovsk region are Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Italy.

In 2018, the foreign economic turnover of Dnipropetrovsk region with the EU totalled $ 4.7 billion. The region accounts for 9.4% of all-Ukrainian trade turnover with European countries.
