Ukrainian Railways is finalizing an agreement with General Electric to assemble 30 locomotives next year at the Kryukiv Carriage Building Plant in Kremenchuk, on the Dnipro.
The national content would be 40%, Oleksandr Malakhov, a planning director of Ukrzaliznytsia. Beyond the initial 30, Malakov said: “Now we are negotiating with General Electric about the large-scale assembly of locomotives at the Kyukiv.”
