Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy continues to implement the EU directives within the framework of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. The ministry has published for discussion an order to adjust the standards of sugar production in Ukraine to those in the EU, striving to get an access to the world market. When the order developed by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is accepted, the sugar producers will be obliged to fulfill the requirements prescribed in this decree. Previously, the state standard of Ukraine was voluntary.
