US-based Olef Creations Inc. plans to create jewelry production facility in Uzbekistan

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov met with jewelry companies AVID (Korea) and Olef Creations Inc. (USA).

According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, the parties discussed further plans for cooperation in the direction of jewelry production

During their visit to Tashkent, investors were acquainted with the created favorable conditions for the development of jewelry production in Uzbekistan. A consortium of jewelry companies headed by Olef Creations Inc. (USA) plans to create jewelry production. This was stated in the course of the meeting.

At present, this consortium established a foreign enterprise in Uzbekistan to begin preparatory work on the project and study the market.

The parties discussed issue of introducing an international financing scheme based on gold leasing in the jewelry industry and agreed to attract consultative assistance from international financial institutions.

During the meeting with representatives of AVID (Korea), the parties agreed on creation of an industrial zone for production and training of jewelry industry specialists through establishment of a joint venture with the Korean company.

“Uzbek gold takes the leading positions in the world ratings on quality, extraction not only in the republic itself, but also abroad. The created conditions, privileges and preferences for investors make your country one of the most attractive countries for investment. The potential is huge and we are confident in the prospects of our mutually beneficial cooperation,” the president of the jewelry company AVID Lee Bong Son said.
