World Bank, Belarus mull agricultural clusters development

A working meeting with World Bank experts took place in the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry on 10 December to discuss the implementation of the project to develop a cluster system in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.

“The parties discussed analytical efforts in agriculture at the example of Minsk Oblast for the World Bank experts to work out proposals to enhance economic efficiency of the sector through the development of agro-industrial clusters,” the press service said.

The Development of the Cluster System in Belarus project is implemented by the World Bank jointly with the consulting company The Cluster Competitiveness Group, Inc. (Spain). The company is training a group of Belarusian specialists under an education program in cluster management.
